The Community Relations Office is located at the District Education Center, 699 Old Orchard Drive, Danville. Terry Koehne has been the district's Community Relations Director since 1996. He is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating and publicizing comprehensive community, business and employee information as well as communications programs that promote understanding of the District's goals, objectives, accomplishments and needs. In his role, Terry acts as spokesperson for the San Ramon Valley Unified School District, and coordinates all media relations efforts for the district and its 33 schools. He deals with all levels of community, business and media relations, trains employees on effective communication and community relations, and maintains the district's website.

Terry represents the school district in the local community, and serves on the Board of Directors or Executive Committee for the following community organizations:

A Bay Area native and former radio sports broadcaster (KSFO, San Francisco), Terry is married with two children, and resides in San Ramon.
