The  Carpool to School Ride-matching Program is a

collaborative multi-agency partnership involving SRVUSD, the City of San Ramon, Town of Danville, ALTRANS, Inc., and 511 Contra Costa County. The on-line Carpool to School program, www.pooltoschool.org is available to all SRVUSD families.

 

The program assists parents in the formation of school carpools. It is similar to other web-based ride-matching programs that have been implemented successfully in other communities. The program provides a list of parents within the same neighborhood

and school attendance area who are interested in forming a carpool.

 

Here’s how it works:

Log on to the secure web site at www.pooltoschool.org and follow the steps for your child’s school online registration form. One you are registered online you will receive an email with names/email addresses of other interested parents looking for a  carpool as well. You will automatically be alerted via email whenever new people in your neighborhood register for the program.

 

If you are unable to locate a carpool partner after your first visit to the web site, try again at a later date. You can continue to log on at www.pooltoschool.org until you have located a carpool partner.

 

The most successful programs are those with the greatest number of participating parents. The more families that register and participate, the better chances everyone has of finding a carpool match! We encourage you to consider using this resource; you can review it at www.pooltoschool.org .

 

Funding for the program is provided by the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, Bay Area Air Quality Management District, and the communities of San Ramon, Danville, Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, unincorporated Contra Costa County and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.
