June 25, 2019:
The SRVUSD Board of Education adopted Summary Resolution #72/18-19 which summarizes the transition to the Trustee-Area election and the final adopted map.
Update:
The CCCOE County Committee of School District Organization approved the district's request to transition to Trustee-Areas. Map 102 was adopted at the meeting on March 11, 2019.
March 11, 2019:
The district has confirmed the Contra Costa County Office of Education will convene a public hearing with the County Committee on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 6pm for consideration and approval of the District's By-Trustee-Area Map 102. This meeting will be held at the Education Center - 699 Old Orchard Drive, Danville, CA.

Update:
At the meeting on February 21, 2019, the Board adopted Resolution 55/18-19 approving the transition to trustee areas and initiating a proposal to the Contra Costa County Committee on school district organization for the adopting of trustee-area elections. The resolution authorized the district's administration to move forward with Map 102. (Please see link to the right.) The District will work with the Contra Costa County Office of Education to proceed with a County Committee public hearing prior to March 11, 2019.
February 21, 2019:
The Board will hold a fifth public hearing (an additional hearing beyond the two statutorily required public hearings to receive community input on the maps) following preparation and posting of proposed trustee areas maps that have been publicly available seven days prior to this Feb. 21st meeting, pursuant to Elections Code section 10010, subdivision (a)(2).
February 19, 2019:

February 14, 2019:
The Board will hold a fourth public hearing (the second of two statutorily required public hearings to receive community input on the maps) following preparation and posting of proposed trustee areas map(s) that have been publicly available seven days prior to this Feb.14th meeting, pursuant to Elections Code section 10010, subdivision (a)(2).
January 24, 2019:
The Board will hold a third public hearing (the first of two statutorily required public hearings to receive community input on the maps) following preparation and posting of proposed trustee areas map(s) that have been publicly available seven days prior to this Jan. 24th meeting, pursuant to Elections Code section 10010, subdivision (a)(2).

January 8, 2019:
Meeting to present the process and potential criteria for drawing the trustee-area boundary maps. Following the presentation, the Board held the second statutorily required hearing to receive input from the community on the trustee-area map creation process, pursuant to Elections Code section 10010, subdivision (a)(1). The Board adopted a resolution to establish criteria to guide the demographer and staff in the development of draft trustee-area maps.
December 18, 2018:
The San Ramon Valley Unified School District Board of Education held the first in a series of public hearings to receive community feedback regarding the California Voting Rights Act (CVRA) and the potential design of maps that outline trustee-areas for Board elections.
The District is working with National Demographics Corporation, demographics experts who presented information on the process and potential criteria for drawing the trustee-area boundary maps. Following the presentation, the Board held the first of two statutorily required hearings to receive input from the community on the trustee-area map creation process, pursuant to Elections Code section 10010, subdivision (a)(1).
December 11, 2018:
The Board adopted Resolution #48-18/19, declaring its intent to transition from at-large to by-trustee area Board elections, where each Board member must reside within the designated trustee area boundary, and is elected only by the voters in that trustee area. Under the by-trustee area system, voters would only vote for one seat on the school board.
Pursuant to Education Code section 35012, the San Ramon Valley Unified School District’s Board of Education is currently elected under an at-large election system, where trustees are elected by voters of the entire District. Trustees are elected in even-numbered years and serve staggered, four-year terms, such that the next election for two trustee seats is scheduled for November 2020, with the remaining trustee seats scheduled for election in November 2022.
