Artificial Intelligence is a technology that can be leveraged in instructional design for
deep learning and innovation. Educators can use AI to effectively develop the skills of
the learner profile, integrate AI into their teaching practices, and create opportunities
for deep learning and innovation. Using AI, teachers can develop both efficacy and

efficiency in their practice. This approach equips learners to thrive in a technology-
driven world while maintaining a strong ethical foundation and a commitment to

lifelong learning.

 

This document emphasizes how generative AI can enhance education in the San
Ramon Valley Unified School District. Its primary goal is to offer guidance at all levels
of the organization. Generative AI, in this context, creates new content using models
trained on extensive datasets. The document aims to balance innovation and
academic integrity while respecting autonomy. It is adaptable to emerging
technologies and welcomes feedback from the educational community for continuous
improvement.

Each month we are focusing on one of the Guiding Principles. We share sources with staff to learn more about AI and how SRVUSD is embracing the implementation of our guiding principles:
