Classified Employment
Classified employees include clerical staff, instructional assistants, child nutrition staff, custodians, bus drivers, maintenance and grounds staff, accounting personnel, and similar classifications. Classified Employees are not required to have a teaching credential.
We also have management, confidential, and professional administrative positions, some of which are Classified. These employees do not belong to a union.

New positions are posted for 5 business days. Permanent positions are filled in accordance with bargaining unit agreements. Regular District employees are given first consideration prior to external applicants. SRVUSD does not maintain eligibility lists.

Classified employees can participate in the Professional Growth program. Employees may earn professional growth awards equal to five percent (5%) of their regular monthly salaries, with a maximum of four (4) awards. Learn more about this program here.

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District recognizes the California State Employees’ Association (CSEA) and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) as the representatives of all non-management Classified employees. All issues related to wages, hours and working conditions must be formally bargained before the district can implement them.
